I am working on a documentary about Samuel Colt and I am looking for two types of clips. I know that this may be slightly outside the concerns of this list but it is the the kind of question that film buffs might know and there are no databases as far as I know that would help me retrieve this information. These are actually kind of trivia questions.
The first is about films that use the six shooter to do tricks with. I seem to recall someone throwing a silver dollar into the air and someone keeping it afloat by firing his six shooter at it. I am looking for clips of this kind that I could use in an American Experience documentary. So any clips that show the 6 bullet nature of the gun.
The other question is somewhat related. I am looking for clips where the person has a single shot pistol or rifle and is overtaken by an enemy because he does not have the capabilities of a six shooter. I recall that in Daniel Boone films (Disney and imposible to use) he would always fire his long rifle and then immediately pull out his tomahawk because he would be surrounded by Indians.
If some western fan could lend a hand that would be great. Would it be possible to e-mail me at [log in to unmask] Thank you.
