The only two pregnancy rituals I know of are pendulum dowsing and
the ring ribbon circle.
Both use the pregnant woman's wedding ring.
For pendulum dowsing, the wedding ring (or a sewing needle) is
hung on a thread, and suspended over the woman's belly. The pendulum
swings in a circle if the baby will be a girl, or back-and-forth in a line
if the baby will be a boy.
The ring ribbon circle happens at baby showers. Ribbons from the
presents are tied to the wedding ring and wrapped round it. After all the
presents are admired, the expectant mother holds the loose end of the
ribbon and the ball of ribbon is passed from person to person, each woman
holding one of the knots. The ribbon ball usually ends up circling the
room several times. The woman left holding the end tied to the wedding
ring will be the next to get pregnant (if married) or married (if single)
or become a grandmother (if her daughter is of age).
Neither of these are much when it comes to pregnancy rituals...
but ya gets yer rituals where ya can. I've never read about either of them
anywhere.
